Application Delivery Framework
Every Business and its IT organization has to grapple with choosing which applications, which databases to support, which operating systems to run on, which languages to use for development, and so forth. In addition, customers such as agencies and business partners may add requirements for other aspects of software such as accessibility, security, and privacy. And there is always the task of integration and management making application delivery complex and difficult.
RISE has developed ways to systematically manage this complexity and to meet many development challenges under its Quality Application Delivery Service (QUADS) offering for specific business application platforms. Our focus on Business Value, Business Objects, Business Data, User Interface and Hybrid nature of application choices between on premise as well as public or private cloud and our ability to manage this through a well-defined methodology and a system pertinent to the platform of choice brings clarity and optimizes the cost of delivery without compromising the quality. We recognize such approach will not be generic and demands collaboration, we believe this alternative approach to traditional technical skill based application delivery model will truly bring value to business users directly while maintaining the required corporate standards.
RISE has encapsulated decades of learning into its ADD-A-DIME© methodology along with an online system that can manage underlying development on associated technology application platform and collaboration between roles involved this process. The methodology covers key phases of Analysis, Design, Develop, Accept, Deploy, Integrate, Manage and Enhancement. Perhaps the simplest way to think of ADD-A-DIME© is as automated guide to using the technology, processes, and templates that RISE has come up with over the past 10-plus years of doing business and adopting it for primarily developing business applications on a common platform and deploying On Premise or on the Cloud with specific emphasis on Business Data, Application Integration and Process Automation throughout its life cycle.
We understand that Organizations have different starting points when building and deploying applications and/or solutions for various business needs and existing commitments in place. With this complexity in mind, we have identified four basic systematic flows for Productization, Implementation, Customization, and Solution. Businesses had to hire consultants of all trades and struggle with exponential cost overruns in managing these projects. To realize the underlying business value, a systematic approach aligned with the pre-packaged delivery model and a reliable business partner is what market has been demanding and RISE is committed to delivering this in partnership with its software and system integration partners in a cost effective way.
It´s important to note that a solution may include multiple application components and each may follow different approaches. These approaches do not describe the organization or even it’s products or systems. Instead they describe development decisions that are made at the level of individual software components. RISE has formally addressed many questions in defining the ADD-A-DIME© methodology and draw upon sources of information from its experience and relating to the business roles and ensuring the quality of the application is assessed throughout the life cycle. Lack of such overarching approach to addressing design and deployment of business applications has coasted enterprises lot of time and money with poor business outcomes and failed IT projects especially in the Small and Midsize enterprise space. With the increased adoption of cloud, the decision of implementing a packaged solution or conducting a product enhancement or developing a custom solution to gain competitive advantage requires a cost effective, collaborative and role based delivery model which RISE delivers through its QUADS offering.
